Welcome to Beaufort Elementary

Beaufort Elementary is a K-6 building serving about 400 students in the Union School District. It is a school with a rich tradition--many second and third-generation families bring their children here. An excellent faculty and staff, a supportive community, and involved parents have all contributed to Beaufort's academic success. But the most essential assets of our school are the students. "Beaufort Kids" are truly the best. Intelligent, hard-working, and considerate to others.

Throughout the past two years, we have been so fortunate to be funded through a local grant to incorporate the Leader in Me program within our school.  This program assists us in focusing on and developing the whole child - giving students what they need not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.  Through this program we have been able to use strategies to build leadership skills within our students and help them focus on taking ownership of their learning.  We have been very happy with the growth of our students in these areas and the excitement they are having in looking at their own progress throughout their elementary years!

As we go through this process we would love feedback from our parents so that we can make needed adjustments and provide an even better experience for our students.  Please click on the following link to take a short survey (should take 15 minutes or less) to help us get better for your children!  Thank you!  https://theleaderinmeonline.org/assessments/assessment/f3d0b52db3f19ff0

Mrs. Fennessey - Beaufort Elementary Principal

As you may have already heard, Union R-XI voters voted to approve our no tax increase bond issue. 73% of voters were in favor, while 27% were opposed.

With the passing of #propwildcats, we have some amazing opportunities to enhance and strengthen the quality of education we provide our students.

On behalf of the district and all our students, I'd like to personally thank each of you for your support and assistance in helping to make #propwildcats a reality for our community. There is no doubt in my mind that this wouldn't have been possible without your help.

Though much has already been done to prepare for the possibility of #propwildcats passing, this is really just the beginning. In the coming months, many of you will be asked to be a part of more specific and detailed conversations around how we can maximize these funds for the greatest impact on our district.

In closing, thank you again for your help, and please know, the work you do day in and day out for our students doesn't go unnoticed.

It's a great day to be a Wildcat.

Dr. Steve Weinhold, Superintendent
